Wilson Park

Located at 5 State Street, Wilson Park is one of Davenport’s most welcoming family destinations. The park features a popular splash pad, a new playground with a rubberized safety surface and shade covering added in 2026, pavilions with picnic tables, benches, a large open green space, and public restrooms, creating a comfortable place for children and families to play, relax, and gather.

Wilson Park also highlights Davenport’s history and heritage. The iconic Golden Holly sign, part of Polk County’s Citrus Label Tour, honors the legacy of Holly Hill Groves and Holly Hill Fruit Products. At the base of the American flag, a monument recognizes James R. Hendrix, a United States Army Congressional Medal of Honor recipient from Davenport. Together, these features make Wilson Park a place where family recreation and community pride come together in the heart of the city.
