Vacation Patrol Requests

Residents who are leaving the area for vacation can request that officers of the Davenport Police Department perform frequent checks of their property. While officers cannot remain at your home continuously, they will stop by periodically to simply identify any potential security issues.

To request a Vacation Patrol, please complete the form below and email it to policeadmin@mydavenport.org. You will receive a confirmation email once your request has been reviewed.

Home Safety Tips
To help safeguard your property while you are away for an extended period, we recommend the following:
- Use Lighting Timers: Set interior lights on a timer to alternate throughout the evening to give the appearance that someone is home.
- Secure All Entry Points: Double-check that all windows, doors, and garage entries are locked before your departure.
- Manage Deliveries: Pause mail and newspaper delivery or ask a trusted neighbor to collect them so they do not accumulate.
- Maintenance: Ensure your lawn is maintained and avoid posting travel plans on social media until you return.
