The City of Davenport Public Services Department oversees the daily operations of the Streets, Utilities, and Parks & Recreation divisions, representing a significant portion of the City’s workforce.

Public Services is responsible for maintaining city-owned streets, sidewalks, right-of-ways, buildings, and vehicles, as well as providing trash removal services. The department also plays a vital role in protecting and maintaining Davenport’s lakes and storm drainage systems, ensuring the community remains safe, clean, and well cared for.

The Polk Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) recognizes that no data, analysis or study tells the complete story of needed improvement around Polk County – thus the TPO has launched a first-of-its-kind Interactive Public Comment Map as the foundation of it’s Momentum 2040 campaign.

All comments will be reviewed by Polk TPO staff, as well as local city planners and officials with organizations such as the Central Florida Regional Planning Council.

It is estimated that by the year 2040 Polk County will be home to more than 1 million residents and the Polk TPO is planning for a safer, more accessible future.
