Request Records
Copies of police reports can requested in several ways:
• Send an email to policeadmin@mydavenport.org and provide as much information as possible about the report are requesting.
• Mail your written request to the Davenport Police Department at 16 W Bay Street Davenport, FL 33837. Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
• Visit the Davenport Police Department during normal business hours and request the report in person.
Our Records Custodian will ensure your request is addressed within a reasonable amount of time.
Requests for police reports are provided in accordance with Section 119, Florida Statutes. Accordingly, any costs beyond the normal production cost may be considered extensive and will require payment for providing the report. Fees are established in Section 119, Florida Statutes. If your request is considered extensive, our Records Custodian will provide a written estimate of costs prior to producing the report.
Florida law exempts certain information from public view. If a requested report contains exempted information, the request may be denied or the information redacted from the report.
If requesting a traffic crash report and the incident occurred less than 60 days prior to the request, the report is only releasable to parties involved in the crash, to include attorneys and insurance companies representing involved persons.
