LAWN WATERING: Effective 6/6/2022
The City of Davenport, Ordinance No. 1080 that discusses water conservation, and watering of yards, was passed on 6/6/2022.
That is as follows:
Monday – addresses ending 0 -1
Tuesdays – addresses ending 2 – 3
Wednesday – addresses ending 4 -5
Thursday – addresses ending 6 – 7
Friday – addresses ending 8 -9
Times are as follows: properties under 2 acres from 12:01am to 6:am, or after 6:00pm to 11:59pm, on the allowable watering day.
Properties with more than 2 acres are as follows: 12:01m to 8:00am, or after 6:00pm to 11:50pm on the allowable watering day.
(Note: HOA’s with Common Areas Friday’s Only)
(Note: No watering shall occur within 24 hours after rainfall)
Sec. 18-98 Penalties
(a) Violation of any provision of this article shall be subject to the following penalties:

Third Violation ………………………………………………… $200.00
Fourth Violation ……………………………………………….. $300.00
Fifth and subsequent violations …………………… Fine not to exceed $500.00
Recycling Pickup: - Recycling on Wednesday (Bins to curb after 4 p.m. Tuesday and removed by 12 a.m. Thursday)
Trash Pickup - Wednesdays (Totes to curb after 4 p.m. Tuesday and removed by 12 a.m. Thursday)
How Do I File A Complaint?

In response to the amended Florida Statue, the City of Davenport can no longer accept anonymous code compliance complaints unless the alleged violation meets the noted exception below. Individuals wishing to submit a complaint are required to provide their name and address. Thank you for your cooperation.10 Common Violations
1. Setting out the garbage and recycling too early or on the wrong day.
2. Landscape problems, such as over-grown grass, tree trimming or removing a protected tree.
3. Improper, unregistered, and parking of derelict vehicles.
4. Water Usage violations.
5. House numbers are not visible, too small, or not of a contrasting color to the background.
6. Failing to obtain necessary City permits for construction, renovation.
7. Improper display of signs (yard sale, help wanted, etc.) on tree, utility poles, etc.
8. Commercial designated vehicles in residential areas.
9. Maintaining a property below the minimum housing standard.
10. Outdoor storage in public view, junk and debris.
