Department Accreditation

The Davenport Police Department is accredited through the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation, Inc. (CFA) and most recently received reaccreditation effective June 20, 2024, for a term of three years.

The department was initially accredited in 2015. With its most recent reaccreditation, the Davenport Police Department has now earned accreditation recognition for the third time.

Accreditation is a voluntary process that recognizes law enforcement agencies for meeting established professional standards in policies, procedures, management, operations, and support services. Maintaining accreditation reflects the department’s continued commitment to professionalism, accountability, and high-quality service to the community.

The reaccreditation process includes a detailed review conducted by assessors and is considered a significant achievement for the department. According to the department’s release, this accomplishment reflects the collective effort of agency members who work each day to provide professional law enforcement services to the community.

The Davenport Police Department remains recognized as an accredited agency through the CFA for the current accreditation term.
